My Favorite Dessert Spots in Dubai

Chocolate Bar | Mall of the Emirates

I first came to this place with friends for Christmas last year. It was perfect for enjoying some heavenly delights, and Chocolate Bar quickly became my favorite dessert spot.

As you can tell from below, I love vanilla ice cream on the side. No favorite dessert of mine is complete without it 🙂

(Clockwise from bottom left)

Banana Split: Chocolate and vanilla ice cream served with chocolate sauce, banana slices and toasted almonds.

Chocolate Truffle Cake: Warm cake with gooey chocolate truffle center and served with vanilla ice cream.

Classic Molten Chocolate Cake: Warm chocolate cake freshly baked with a molten center. Served with vanilla ice cream.

ChocoMelt Cafe | Dubai Mall

Warning: Calorie counters enter at your own risk.

Know your Karak Chai? But have you ever tasted Karak ice cream? This is now my favorite dessert at ChocoMelt. Glucose Karak from ChocoMelt is a pecan and glucose biscuit blonder served with dulcey and homemade Karak ice cream.

Note: Known as the fourth category of chocolate, Dulcey is essentially caramelized white chocolate. Also called Blond Chocolate, Dulcey has a smooth, creamy and velvety texture with a warm, golden color.

Govinda’s | Bur Dubai

FYI Govinda’s is a global chain of restaurants famous for their amazing vegetarian cuisine, completely inspired by ancient India’s ayurvedic and sattvic cooking. Check out some of the delicious goodies I tried!

My favorite dessert at Govinda’s is their signature creation, for which I got a personal demo from the chef himself. Yesss!!!

STEP 1 Crushed Imarti: Imarti is made by deep-frying vigna mungo flour batter, followed by deep-soaking in sugar syrup. It can be recognized by its deep orange-red color.

STEP 2 Angoori Rasmalai: Cottage cheese is soaked in chashni, a sugary syrup, and rolled in fine sugar to form grape-sized balls. Angoori derives its name from Angoor which means “grape” in the Hindi language.

STEP 3 Rabri: Rabri is made by boiling milk on low heat for a long time until it becomes dense and changes it color to pale yellow.

STEP 4 Garnish: Chopped Pistachios 🙂

LONdon Dairy Cafe | Downtown Dubai

When it comes to favorite desserts, the London Dairy Cafe really spoils you. I always love playing around with my sweet tooth. Whether you fancy a simple chocolate brownie or the traditional ice cream cone, there is something for everyone. My absolute weakness are their fabulously decadent ice cream cakes and the humble apple crumble (seen below).

For more dessert options, check out my post on the London Dairy Bistro! In addition to sweet treats, they have some yummilicous eats for the perfect meal!
