There was a time when everyone thought salads were sad boring shreds of lettuce. Since then, salads have evolved so much. In comparison to their humble beginnings, salads today are a plethora of textures, colors and seasonings. The ingredients are diverse and exotic, from red cabbage and jalapeños, to halloumi cheese and avocado. They can be a complete meal in themselves, and extremely satisfying to both the palate and the tummy.
These are some of my favorite salads I have discovered while dining out. So, are you a salad lover?
